*first post, be nice please D:*
Avius, odd-colored hair flowing gently in the breeze, sat beside the sparkling and brilliant lake, a book under his right arm. "'I want to go to d'Winter Youkai Academy'- What was I thinking...?" He murmured to himself. The boy sat alone and stared at the unopened book. He had read this book many times. Avius could swear that this would be the one hundredth time he cracked it open. The simple cover of two pale hands holding a bright red, almost crimson, apple shone in the sunlight. Twilight was written on the very top, the author's name, Stephanie Meyer, at the bottom. Avius sighed to himself and stared at the book. "I don't know anybody here..." He murmured. "And my parents have yet to send Edward down..." Edward, although not a werewolf like Avius, was his brother. Actually, Edward was adopted. Just like Avius was. Along with their sister, a fox-girl, named Angel. Edward was an elf. Avius closed his bright eyes and took out the hair band that was keeping his pony-tail in place. The violet and black hair fell to his back and touched the ground, folding twice. From behind, anyone could mistake him for a girl. Avius then lost himself in the pages of Twilight once again.
*hope it's okay for me to go ahead and post something ^^;*

(That's perfectly fine. ^^ Sorry for the delay, guys...my spring quarter is almost over, though, so hopefully I'll have more time to devote to the things I started....)
The water of the lake rippled strangely, signaling something beneath the tranquil surface. It wasn't an alarming site, but certainly a strange one, and who knew what could lie at the depths of mysterious body of water in the courtyard of a demon school.
The answer came when a person's head and shoulders emerged from the liquid, his short, fine black hair clinging to pale cheeks and neck. The dark-haired youth was near a rocky section of the shore decent ways down from Avius.
His back towards the other, he stayed in the water, folding his arms over a large stone and resting his head on them.
Perhaps he was also wondering what he had been thinking in coming here...

-The sound of a large bell, firm but melodic in its reverberating alarm, echoed throughout the school to signal that fifth period would soon begin.-

"WAH!" Avius jumped back, the book flying about a foot behind him. The wolf boy clutched at his chest, where his beating heart was trying violently to jump out of his body. "Y' gave me quite a fright, you did." He called, a soft Yillren [[sounds British]] accent in his voice. The bell for fifth period ringing also made the wolf boy jump. Poor thing was actually a bit of a nervous wreck, this being his first day in school and all. Finally realizing, after a few moments of staring at the strange being, Avius picked up the book and slipped a bookmark with a picture of a shiny, silver razor blade on it, underneath the picture was the title: "Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street"; Avius' favorite musical. Swiftly standing up, Avius fumbled with a folded piece of paper that held his schedule. "Fifth period..." He mumbled to himself. "Poisons and Remedies with..." He scanned the paper to find his teacher. "Professor de Winter..." Avius sighed. "Maybe for this class, I won't make a total idiot of myself... or be late..." The boy then folded the paper once again, and shoved it back into the pocket of his pants. He then turned and scampered away to try and find his class, in high hopes he wouldn't be lost again.

At the sound of the bell, he pulled himself out of the water, completely unclothed but not seeming modest about it in the slightest. His body was sleek and pale, but he was handsome, his dark eyes glancing at Avius as he pulled on his slightly modified school uniform.
Hm? Oh, someone had been sitting at the lake. Just a new kid.
As Avius heading back to school, the dark-haired student picked up his bag and followed suit at a slow, leisurely pace.
5th period...
